God's Plan of Salvation
God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life.
You were created by God in order to bring glory to His name and to have fellowship with Him. He loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life. In the Bible (God's Word), in the book of Jeremiah, chapter 29, verse 11 (NIV), God said "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jesus Christ, who is God the Son, said in John 10:10b (KJV) that "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
All of us have sinned and fallen short of God's righteousness.
God is love, but He is also just. He cannot tolerate sin in His presence. All of us have sinned against God and our sins have caused us to be separated from fellowship with Him. In Romans 3:10 (KJV) we read, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one." In Romans 3:23 (KJV), we see the extent of sin in the whole human race, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." If unatoned for, our sins will cause us to be separated from God for all eternity in a place called Hell.
Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay the penalty for all of your sins.
...But, there is good news! God loved us so much that He was willing to humble Himself and become flesh and dwell among us in the person of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. He lived a perfect life without sin. Although He never sinned, He allowed Himself to be crucified on a cross in order to pay the penalty for our sins. "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."--(2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV) In Colossians 2:14 (KJV), we can see the worth of Christ's death on the cross, "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross." Jesus Christ, as God in the flesh, provided a sacrifice of infinite worth to atone for all of the sins of mankind.
If you accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior then you will be saved.
Even though Jesus Christ atoned for the sins of all humanity, you can only be saved by accepting Christ's death on the cross as payment for your sins. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast."--(Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV) Jesus Christ is ready to save you at this very moment. "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me."--(Revelation 3:20 NKJV) When you, by faith, accept Jesus Christ as the Lord of your life and His death on the cross as payment for all of your sins, you will be saved and God the Holy Spirit will fill you with His love and will empower you to live for Christ. After accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, it is vitally important that you read His Word daily, commune with Him in prayer, assemble together with other believers, and boldly proclaim the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ to others.
